The Best Golf Channel

Hello and welcome to The BEST Golf Channel! I am Mike Ship (mship in many golf forums) and I would just like to thank you for checking out my blog and I hope that you find it intriguing enough to make it a permanent part of your daily golf entertainment. I would first like to share with you my golf credentials…  I have none.  I am just like all of you out there who just love the game of golf…I am sort of the “Joe the plumber” of golf. I love to talk everything golf from the swing to equipment to what tournament is currently underway I love it all. I am not a top name teaching professional but I am willing to put what I know about the golf swing up against anybody.

Golf is my passion third only behind God and my family. I absolutely love it! I had a buddy say to me one time  that I think “ just because I have reviewed a few (more like thousands) golf swings on video that I think I am an expert” well…duh!  Does anyone learn without studying? Anyway bottom line is that who says you have to be a tour pro to understand the golf swing? In my obsession to find the perfect swing I have literally watched thousands of golf swings in slow motion and along with countless hours scouring golf forums have recently come to the conclusion that I own the golf swing! Now I under stand that is a bold statement but I believe it to be true. The golf swing is simple and easy to learn and most importantly FUN!!! But the golf swing is NOT the most important part of this blog…FUN is!

My vision for this blog is to bring my fellow golf nuts together for us to respectfully rant and rave about how much we think we know but at the same time I am going to try to also provide something that even the TV “Golf” Channel doesn’t and that is entertainment. I promise that you will not see a single infomercial on The BEST Golf Channel!  So, In addition to my humorous rants and swing analysis of the pros or anyone that wants to send me one to look at, I am going to cover all sorts of subjects. I am going to cover  Instruction (hopefully get some of the top internet guys to come on as guests), talk about the current PGA events, equipment reviews, golf course etiquette, interview local club pros etc.  Feel free to make suggestions and comments and even disagree with me but please… keep it clean and respectful. Oh and one last footnote…if religious references make you uncomfortable then this blog is not for you as I am thankful to the Lord Jesus for providing us with this wonderful game and am not afraid to let people know that!

What is most important to me is that everyone enjoy not just this blog but playing, discussing, and watching the game… Golf is meant to be fun!!!
